Suggested Indonesia itineraries Our suggested Indonesia itineraries are in fact suggested combinations of our short Indonesia tours (modules) which we've strung together in a logical order to form a longer Indonesia itinerary. We've carefully selected these suggested Indonesia itineraries to include an interesting mix of activities (for example an exciting trek and a couple of days' relaxing on the beach), or perhaps a comprehensive overview of the major sights, or an extended stay in the more remote and less-travelled areas in Indonesia. Whatever your preferences, we're happy to help you put together your perfect Indonesia itinerary. |
On your trip with Indonesia online you'll be staying in attractive accommodation that reflects the character of your surroundings. On these suggested Indonesia itineraries you’ll be staying mostly in authentic cottages or bungalows set in a beautiful exotic garden, on Bali often with outdoor bathroom. If you’re venturing into more remote areas, your accommodation during the Indonesia itineraries will be more basic simply because there are no more luxurious alternatives. Some of your excursions are included, that way you’ll always have the opportunity to explore the area with a local guide, be it a cycling tour through the rice paddies, a hike to a hidden waterfall or a boat trip to spot dolphins.During the suggested Indonesia itineraries you’ll be travelling by private car with driver and by minibus with (a small group of) other travellers. On Bali you could also hire a car to travel around. It’s a fun and exciting way to explore the island and you can stop when and where you want, giving you maximum flexibility. More information on self-drive on Bali can be found at the bottom of this page. Our suggested Indonesia itineraries are all independent which means there’s no fixed departure date. Java and Bali itinerary First-time travellers to Indonesia usually start with Java and Bali, the two most well-known islands of the archipelago which together offer everything you would expect from a suggested Indonesia itinerary. In three weeks you’ll travel by private car with driver and shared minibus to colonial cities and the infinite tea plantations where you can pick your own tea and travel by train to Yogya’s mystical temples. You’ll witness a spectacular sunrise on top of a smoking volcano and travel through aromatic clove plantations to the exotic island of Bali, where you’ll again travel by shared minibus with a small group of other travellers. Spot dolphins early in the morning at Lovina and explore the magical water palace in the east. Walk across the lush green rice paddies dotted with small family temples at Ubud, then end your trip in an idyllic bungalow on a quiet beach. If you want to see the highlights of the country, but still have plenty of time to relax, then Indonesia: green, greener, greenest is the perfect choice from our suggested Indonesia itineraries. |
